Handheld monitor detects and identifies a variety of chemical warfare agents including nerve (Tabun, Sarin, Soman, and VX), blister (mustard), and tear (pepper spray and mace) agents. Reports high concentrations of most detected agents within 10 seconds. Ideal for first responders.
Interferent-resistant monitor simultaneously detects multiple chemical warfare and civilian defense agents using ion mobility spectroscopy (IMS) technology. Draws air sample into reaction chamber where its constituent molecules are ionized and channeled toward an ion detector. Distinguishes between molecules based on the speed with which they move toward the ion detector. Dosimeter measures gamma radiation exposure rates from 0.01 mrem/hr. to 1000 rem/hr. and dose from 0.1 mrem to 1000 rem.
Hand-held monitor and detector designed for emergency first responders to hazardous chemical releases and Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA). Simultaneously detects nerve and blister agents, and recognizes pepper spray and mace. Sensors options can monitor radiation (gamma, x-ray) and hazardous compounds.
APD2000 Keypad:
APD2000 Keypad POWER - Turns unit on/off CLEAR - Activates back flush manually MODE - Switches agent mode between CW, CWVX, IRRT, and TEST LIGHT - Toggles display backlight on/off EVENT - Enables data logging AUX - Enables auxiliary capabilities OPTION - Activates menus and cycles through options SELECT - Silences horn during alarm. When menus are activated, selects currently displayed option
