The Thermo Scientific Genesys 10S UV/Vis spectrophotometer has a 190 to 1100mn wavelength range, 1.8nm bandwidth, and a xenon flash lamp, and is used for applications in quality control, reaction monitoring, and colorimetric and life science analysis.
Pre-programmed and configurable methods include wavelength scanning at up to 4,200nm/minute, absorbance ration and absorbance difference measurements, quantitative analysis with up to 15 standards and five calibration curve fits, and multiple fixed measurements at up to 31 wavelengths. The performance verification report includes time, date, and instrument serial number to conform to GLP/GMP and regulatory compliance. The 1.8nm bandwidth provides lower detection limits and improved signal-to-noise performance.
The xenon lamp provides an internal standard for wavelength accuracy verification, and the xenon flash lamp and beam splitter provide real-time reference beam correction with each lamp flash. The integrated six-cell charger increases sample throughput. The graphical display has an LCD backlight to ease reading. A standard curve screen provides concentration method set-up, and built-in test methods perform stay light, noise, and resolution analysis. A sealed keypad protects the instrument from spills.
